Today in the Curiosity Club Lab, Babe and Bug are brewing up a colorful Monster Jar Eruption! It’s oozy, fizzy fun that’s part science, part art, and 100% monster-approved.
🧠 What You’ll Need:
- Mason jars or clear cups
- ¼ cup baking soda (per jar)
- ½ cup vinegar (per eruption)
- Food coloring (green, purple, orange, or black for monster vibes!)
- 1–2 squirts of dish soap (for super foamy monsters)
- Googly eyes, construction paper, and pipe cleaners (for decorating your monster jars)
- Tray or pan to catch the eruptions
🧪 Step-by-Step Magic
1. Create Your Monsters!
Decorate your jars with googly eyes, paper mouths, and wiggly pipe cleaner arms. Make them silly, spooky, or totally outrageous!
2. Set the Stage.
Place your monsters on a tray or pan to catch the foamy fun.
3. Add the Baking Soda.
Scoop ¼ cup into each monster jar. This is your eruption base!
4. Mix the Potion.
In a separate cup, stir vinegar with a few drops of food coloring and a squirt of dish soap.
5. Erupt!
Pour the colorful vinegar mix into your monster jar and watch it bubble, foam, and roar to life! 🧟♀️
6. Try It Again!
Experiment with new colors to create a rainbow of erupting monster jars! 🌈
