Capture the cozy calm of fall — in a bottle!

🧪
Welcome to the Lab (and the Leaf Pile!)
Get ready for a craft that’s equal parts science, art, and calm-down magic! 🍂✨
Babe & Bug are bottling up autumn with this relaxing, sparkly experiment, Fall Sensory Jars!
It’s perfect for sensory play, mindfulness breaks, or just adding a little sparkle to your shelf. Watch the leaves drift and glitter swirl like a peaceful fall breeze. 🍁
🧠
You’ll Need:
- 1 empty water bottle (500ml, plastic)
- Baby oil (or clear mineral oil)
- Gold bingsu beads or tube confetti ✨
- Fall leaf confetti 🍂
- Small fabric leaves (for extra texture)
- Optional: food coloring (a drop of orange or gold)
🧩
How to Make It
Step 1: Prepare Your Jar
Remove any labels from your bottle and fill it halfway with baby oil.
Step 2: Add Fall Sparkle!
Sprinkle in gold bingsu beads, fall leaf confetti, and a few small fabric leaves.
Step 3: Add the Water
Fill the rest of the bottle with warm water, leaving a little space at the top. Add one drop of food coloring if you want a soft tint.
Step 4: Seal It Up
Tightly close the lid — you can even glue it shut for safety.
Step 5: Swirl & Watch the Magic!
Turn the bottle upside down and gently shake. Watch as the glitter and leaves float and twirl like falling autumn leaves! 🍁
💡
Babe’s Science Fact:
“The oil and water don’t mix because oil is lighter — it floats! That’s why everything moves in slow motion!”

🎃
Bug’s Giggle Note:
“It’s like a snow globe… but for fall!” 😄
🌟
Try This Twist:
- Add a few drops of cinnamon essential oil for a cozy scent!
- Use different confetti colors — red for crisp leaves, gold for sunshine, brown for tree trunks.
- Create a Fall Feelings Jar — have kids name one thing they’re grateful for while they shake it!
